Despite the desyncs, 0.84 is far more enjoyable than 0.80.
Most of the games on 0.80 are endless, and 26+ is a pure lottery based on the rolls, if your team got dps, colts, mercs and your units don't get accidentally bugged, you're going to win.

Yeah, I'd also prefer the older version of the map.
This one has some improvements like nerfing tusks, plagues and etc. but is quite buggy.
Unless someone is able to fix the bug(s) in the scripts which is causing these random desyncs, playing the old map seems like a better option.
