This is an issue that is affecting all users to my knowledge. I am sure it is on their radar, and should be resolved in the near future. I do not believe there has been an official announcement made with an ETA on the fix.

Desync was pretty common when the first 1.28.x patch was released. Sometimes maps have issues that causes some players to desync with the active game. Change your proxy setting to disabled, and that should solve your problem.

I've had a few people note that they have a list of games, but are unable to join any of them. After they disabled the proxy setting they were able to join the games no problem.
