I had noticed most of the lobbies were empty on ENT, glad it's not just something screwy with my computer.

WC3 says it needs to be updated, but the update either fails, or Battle.net tells me it can't be updated through battle.net.

I uninstalled and reinstalled RoC and TFT but it still wants to be updated. What do I need to do?

The biggest indicator is his strategy, he used one account to mass lumber and provide an aura for the other account, just look at his economy throughout the game.
