Reminds me a lot of Panda's earth form when it comes to thematics. Also, has the exact same escape ability as Panda, I wonder why this is? Other than that, I kinda like the idea of having a passive shield.

Another solution: Why not punish players for being bad at wall walking, as opposed to simply punishing them for doing it? A path-choosing build was already considered for Tauren, but we decided not to apply it to Tauren for it did not seem like a good choice for the cow. Instead we thought to apply it to Pan, oh uhm... not talking about that yet.

Another problem I see is being able to nuke workers that are on a cliff, but that can be solved by slightly reducing the vision range. I'll do some experimenting with this.

Interesting idea... I actually have to try this out how it would affect the gameplay in ramps (which is the life quality improvement I assume you are referring to).

No I agree with you about wallwalking being one of the most fun things in ID, one of the most broken ones as well. Too bad cancel cost would be global. There is a work-around to the global costs, but global costs might cause problems in some not wall walk scenarios. I can think of a few items that ...
