Kickstarter is not always a wise idea. Considering only 20% of kickstarter projects actually fulfill what they say they are going to do it also doesn't inspire confidence in a product.

can i ask where you will run the game from? just a broser, steam? wc3?..

Standalone means standalone as in doesn't require wc3 or dota2 or Firefox or etc.
It'll be an .exe or something along those lines.

Technically you'll probably need something like directx or some other library but those don't count against it being a standalone.
Steam sells standalone games (amoung others) so it could technically be on there but that is something idk. I think steam takes a hefty cut so may be undesirable since AUS shit expensive.

Yeah, Stealer is correct. I'm still deliberating putting it on Steam due to the large cut that would be taken from micro-transactions.
