Of course this is just my experience from playing with these guys, I've played with more than others. Like I'm sure t[r]a-kenxtreme (just from the legends) would be #1 if I'd played more games with him.

Yeah never understood how foss got so much respect when all he did was to stomp some random builder lobbies a few times. He could never fare well vs solid/ih players.

Burn, I see you forgot the legendary SuramarXStealth/ YarraGod in that honorable mention.
On a real note though, Taoi and spacesCAPS were both super chill, I played so many games with those guys it wasn't funny.
Foss got respect because he played so many games with pubs, and was *usually* pretty chill.

Foss had like a trillion pub games and stomped a lot of pub games. He mostly let builders gold early in exchange for insane feed from nuking workers and farming lumber bases that weren't full denied and won the game later. This resulted in a lot of titan pub games won.
However, in most inhouses feed is scarce, so he just wound up underleveled and we just merchant rushed him for the win.

Yeah, the inhouse games you all played were very different from pubs back then. At least the "high end" lobbies usually wound up with a couple of strong early basers, what blocked off their lumber area so as not to give away experience. Meanwhile the IH games were full of self denies and wall walking.
I don't think I was ever actually a part of those games, but I did play with people like 13eetle13omber and dizzy1 a lot.

In terms of oldies, the only ones that clearly stood out were t[r]a-kenxtreme and kyleep. Others did to a lesser extent like murs, ry1d, and 13r4ndon, but none had the level of impact of those two. Not a list of the best, but the most enjoyable IH players:
