skybase v2.0

For some reason people think skybase isn't a valid base, but I have just proven them wrong.

My skybase v2.0 comes with 49 towers and allows for a fast retreat for golders.

With more pros than cons it is a solid, risky fun base for any builder looking to test their skill.

This will be my new castle base from now on.

I could kill you pretty easily in that base, you wouldn't survive long enough to make it that strong. Most of the towers are useless during most of the siege, there IS easy vision for titan, you even pointed out the unkillable eye. You definitely do not want anybody else in that base with you. Doesn't annoy titan being close to mound, that's an advantage for titan, makes it a shorter distance to tp/ww and come back to... Plus you wouldn't have gotten that much gold if there was a decent titan playing, so you wouldn't have the extra health, upgrades, etc. Very easy to nuke you in that base.

Sky base is still a terrible base.

Might work vs Narbtit.

Since it looks like you put some thought into this and made me laugh (Annoying supporters are annoying) I'll chip in. I would actually add another layer of walls, replacing some of the first row towers. It's just that those towers on the bottom right are so darn far from the action, and deeper walls can solve this. Anther solution is to just clear some (5) of the unwieldy towers and make room for whatever other junk you want.

Anyway, thanks for posting something interesting.

The nuke zones are wrong, that's about all I read out of your text. Maximum nuke distance is basically 10x10 units.

Use this screenshot I made : http://i.imgur.com/mY3HfBN.jpg

If you want two lanes (which really isn't really needed with the walling), you can move a few buildings and the walls to the right.

I respectfully disagree good sir.

See if I wall deeper the left side will lose 3 towers and become weaker than the right side, leaving no point for the titan to siege right. Also given a fully upped dryad tower is 850 range, those towers on the right actually do reach late game. But yeah maybe I would kill those towers if I needed a supporter early/mid game.

Are you saying to use your screenshot to see what is nuke safe? Is that back lane in your screenshot nuke safe?

I was kindof hoping the bottom lane was nukable so I could send unruly occupants there. "Just chill down there a bit green you're in the way"

I thought about two lanes and wanted the extra dps by shifting in towers.

I also noticed this base gets more attention. Titan will generally choose to siege this base over others.

Think I might try this spot as mak vs a fluxy titan, could be fun :D

Why would you go with mak to such a spot..? Mak is weak and needs mass towers, plus a lot of space for his workers because of 5/worker.

You got exactly the opposite there..

The only thing I would remotely consider basing with in that location is troll (with seeds to avoid nuking), which shouldn't be a problem late game when you have only a few workers and can fit them in the unnukable corner.

If you don't have excess workers, that base is one of the best bases to avoid being nuked in. Due to the amount of vision you have from the it's mountainous elevation.

At first I wanted troll but dryads towers are more powerful. Also dryad can power up towers with mana instead of workers again making dryad good for skybase.

Yes elevation makes it castle like, thats why I like it so much :)

yes, unfortunately syph did nuke the bottom right worker in a game yesterday =/

I wouldn't consider them needing mana instead of lumber a plus. Troll/Gobo is better for sky base late game. Anyone see a disadvantage to gobo with 130g-ish at sky base?
