As long as you don't return to the original stable map or a modern map like the one we have on iCup, you're going to kill ent.
The version of the map you have implemented is visually flawed and unpleasant to play.
GAMES in LAST WEEK
31/05: 18 games
30/05: 13 games
29/05: 17 games
28/05: 10 games
27/05: 9 games
26/05: 13 games
This drastic drop in the number of games inevitably signals the end of Dota ENT.

Re: Wake UP !
We have the original and the most popular 6.83se and 2 version 6.85
The version we have on ENT is the worst map ever

Re: Wake UP !
The iccup map versions are far inferior to anything ent is running. 6.85 is the same thing but with way less features and good things. 6.83se might as well be a whole different game entirely. People here would hate it if ent somehow began running these maps.
When you say this map is "visually flawed", is the flaw that the map is mostly fog and you can't see every minidot on this version? That's the only way I can make that make any sense.
Also tbh I have used Iccup a bit and it's fun but I think I won't use it anymore. On reflection I don't trust a Russian based website and installing .exe and network files from them. Do you? I saw a credible sounding blog post about a programmer claiming the admins there look up peoples passwords in plaintext. Hate to be paranoid but that alone was enough to make me uninstall.

Re: Wake UP !
You're talking without knowing... the iccup maps are clearly superior to what we play under ENT.

Re: Wake UP !
Every map has flaws, just like every iPhone that ever existed. No matter how good one version is, there's always a newer version that replaces it. The old 6.83 map that we played for nearly a decade was far from perfect, but people got comfortable with it. They learned which heroes were broken, which strategies were abusable, and how to squeeze every advantage out of the map's flaws.
The exact same thing will happen with this new map 6.85. Given enough time, players will discover new overpowered heroes, item builds, and strategies to exploit. That's the nature of every version of Dota. No map has ever been perfectly balanced, and no map ever will be.
What some people fail to realize is that the map is rarely the deciding factor in whether you win or lose. You may think the map determines your skill level or your success, but you're wrong. There is a far greater deciding force in every game: your teammates. That never changes, regardless of what version you're playing. Most games are won or lost based on whether your team has two or three below-average players who feed, refuse to cooperate, or simply can't keep up. That's been true in 6.83, it's true in 6.85, and it'll still be true in whatever map comes next.
@showtime18 — you've been complaining about this map for the last 4-5 months and have been very vocal about promoting other Russian and foreign-speaking servers. At this point, you've probably spent more time criticizing the map than actually trying to adapt to it.
Yet despite all the complaints, all the drama, and all the effort you've put into convincing people to play elsewhere, I can't help but think there's still a part of you that's loyal to ENT. Otherwise, you wouldn't still be here talking about it every chance you get. Deep down, I think you still want this server to succeed and still want to play here.
So let me ask you this: have you genuinely given this map a fair chance?
The games are still competitive. The battles are still intense. The excitement is still there. The only difference is that players haven't fully figured out all the strengths, weaknesses, and exploits yet.
Try it yourself. Your Slark and Riki are still just as deadly if you actually know what you're doing. Techies may have taken a hit compared to older versions, but Jerry already found ways to make the most of it. He's still dragging games past the one-hour mark and annoying the living hell out of everyone on the other team.
The map didn't kill good players. It simply forced them to adapt. The question is whether you're willing to do the same.
