Perfect counter for Pl

I think most would agree that a well played Phantom Lancer is OP. Just wondering what hero you guys have found to be the best counter to his ownage.

For late game, best counter to pl is a farmed medusa. U use ulti and all illusions die, u got split arrow to hit 5 units around you. Just buy Mjollnir, Linkens, Skadi, Butterfly and another dmge item of your choice and pl is useless. Another option is a farmed Sven, Dragon Knight or Magnus that deal 100% cleave with ridiculus amount of dmge. Spectre can counter him too, cause when u use ulti, your illusion follows the real one pl so u can target him. Also the damage return hurts pl really hard. For early-mid game, heroes with burst aoe are the key, like Leshrac, Akasha, Crobelus, Gyrocopter, Bat and Pit lord. Lion and Bane can do awesome job too if u equip them with necronomicon.
Special mention to Zeus, that can track the real pl when he uses ulti, much like spectre and Earthshaker, that can wipe away all illusions with a nice placed ulti.

Awesome insight! I completely agree that a farmed dusa is one of the best counters. Although shes gotta be especially farmed. Those illusions with lvl 2 diffusal and a heart can tank like no other and bite right through that mana shield.

lich and enigma with refresher plus your entire team has to have ghost scepter and/or lothars.
lich and enigma use dark ritual/demonic conversion to deny 2 creeps. than use refresher to deny another 2 creeps. depending on what stage of the game this is, this could be the entire creep wave.
in the meantime your entire team pops ghost scepter or lothars.
since pl will not have any valid targets to right click he will have no proc chance for him to spawn his illusions.

Fed mort vs fed PL? You can counter PL with double bfury, basher, BKB and lifesteal

STR: Cent Doom Magnus Naix Slardar Kunkka Sven

AGI: Mort Venomancer Broodmother and there are few others

INT: Lich Enigma Furion Lina and also dazzle

Not rly. Plan with dusa is that pl won't even have the chance to surround you with attacking illusions. Thats why u need linkens, so he cant land his lance and with your slow he wont be able to reach u before he dies.
Btw opi is right, obsidian destroyer too can destroy pl easily. I kinda forgot about him xD

There is no solo counter for pl if the pl player that knows how to play. Pl is never suppose to engage fully he spirit and eat the mana away and spam illusions then with team you go in together , most noob pl player gets manta instead of heart then u can beat them because manta pl before heart just make pl easy to kill, so there is no perfect counter unless the team has decent amount of aoe skill + stuns that can get him stuck in a position. Any carry such as mort, spec, etc if pl knows how to play he should just spirit lance etc to just eat their mana away before engage . If pl is on other team the best way is to end the game early before pl finishes heart. Among some decent counter is od because of the od's ult it takes out all image with one, but if a pl player is decent he should avoid that, and medusa ult can be easily avoided if pl player stays little back and just attack with illusiion wasting medusa's ult. Another good counter is gyro who must have ethereal blast and find the real target fast, gyro ult + cannon ethreal can hurt pl alot, but still without team play pl is difficult to beat.
