Re: Is it bannable to refuse to kick laggers?
Hello everyone, i hope you all good.
So first of all, regarding the game from yesterday, let me explain my thoughts about votekick and my decision to not vk the lagger.
In first place i had 0 clue that ingame was an admin. Then my option to refuse to vk the lagger was that we already had an afk who was kicked in first 5 minutes (i would have wait another 5 min before to kick the afk, since we wait more than 1h in lobby for a game and maybe the guy was alt/tab or had other stuff to do).
Then for the lagger guy, i`m adressin to ppl who played here alot, how many times you vk a lagger, then you found him in the next lobby and next game with the same problems, ruining at least 3-4 games and vanish your will to play a game? I did explain myself to myke that i rather prefer to wait the drop time and get autoban instead to vk and find him in the next lobby. 3v5 in the first 10 min, yes i would have draw.
Then mike respons, oh yea but you can make a ban appeal, so what`s the reason of that, i lose time to make a stupid post and idk how much it takes to get solved, but meanwhile the guy who perma lag can join lobby after lobby.
Then this is for mike, first vk
(07:19 / All) GuessWhosBack^: Player [itwasalladreamm] voted to kick player [haliente]. 2 more votes are needed to pass.
(07:35 / All) GuessWhosBack^: Player [itwasalladreamm]'s draw vote has been recalled automatically (three minutes have elapsed).
second vk
(08:47 / All) GuessWhosBack^: Player [noob_hunter_2] voted to kick player [haliente]. 2 more votes are needed to pass.
(09:10 / All) GuessWhosBack^: haliente was kicked by player [Admin].
So in both cases 2 more vk needed to kick that guy, somehow mike decide to ban me for refusing vk.
And i told you, idk who was the 2nd guy who didnt vk, but the point is someone is getting 3 days ban and other not, if this is not double standard then tell me when it is.

Re: Is it bannable to refuse to kick laggers?
This is for astros..
I appreciate that you actually think i`m a good player and i know that we had some fights in the past, but i still think that your ban was very excesive and total unfair.
So back in the days when you were admin, you ban me one month because i had a couple of bad games in the same day. My only fault was that i`ve been part of your team and make you lose 2 games drive u nuts and voila, there is the ban.
Tell mw how many times ,you as admin ban ppl only because they were in your team, they play bad and make you lose?
Be fair.
Since that day yes i used vpn and i did play on ent, dodging the inizial ban, but only because in my oppinion was a total unfair ban.

this is exactly what i want him to do and he will be unbanned, but this guy, you know him, it's to much, i'm not beeing nice with him anymore and mike too.

<removed unnecessary comment>
He still remember me, my history, my bad games, my bad attitude, my flames, my game ruins but this pathetic clown should do a self-constitutive exam
<removed unnecessary comment>
<removed unnecessary comment> I`ve been around here since 2017 i think, and i remember you as one of the moxt toxic players with the very retarded attitude towards many players, with insults, wishing death to persons and their family, with games ruined by puting retarding friends in opposite teams and many others.
Like i said in the pm, stop doing drama queen with me because i know very good what piece of shit you are. Idk how the hell they actually gave you admin, but your attitude in games change just a little bit only to not overcross the limit, but in the end you are still the same shit person as years ago.
When you remember my history, you should watch yours and ask if u are better than me?
As admin, you are worst than astros, you ban ppl who make you lose the game, you ban ppl who didnt want to play as you wish, you ban players who refuse to pick some heroes ( bara/slark/omni ecc), you ban ppl who didnt let you take the middle lane, should i continue?
In all these years i think you are one or maybe the most retarded admin around here. You change attitude only when you see that the players poll droped significantly thanks to your stupid ego and very bad decisions you made.
So before you remember my history, watch your damn past as player and as admin because to me you were you are and u still be a pure shit person.

And now i speak in general, since you admins wanted to be always right and ask players like in kindergarden if they understand when they make mystakes.
DO YOU FUCKING UNDERSTAND THAT A LARGE AMOUNT OF PLAYERS LEFT ENT, DUE TO YOUR VERY BAD DECISIONS, YOUR VERY RETARDED ATTITUDE AND DOUBLE STANDARD BANS? do you??

MIKEJONES wrote:I then questioned GuessWhosBack^’s refusal to votekick Haliente, whose lag effectively held the game hostage. While no explicit rule covers every scenario, his inaction was detrimental to the eight other players stuck in an unplayable game.
The problem here is that your lack of action as an admin, had the exact same detrimental effect as GuessWhosBack^'s refusal to votekick.
If you want to be democratic and give everyone a choice, then you also have to respect their choice, whatever that might be. Otherwise, why do you even give them a fake choice? To set them up for a ban?
You could have just exercised your authority from the beginning, since you witnessed the problem firsthand, without leaving it up to the players to decide.

Also, do we now have to follow the instructions of every random 10-game account, with no visible admin rights, that claims to be an admin and threatens us with a ban, instructing us to perform actions not explicitly written in any rules, out of fear that it might be a stealth admin?
This thread isn't about @GuessWhosBack, it's for the rest of us to know what we should expect as well as what is expected of us.
P.S.: @GuessWhosBack the more you keep up with the insults against the admins, the more you're justifying their decisions against you. Please either keep it civilized or stop and let the rest of us exchange our opinions, views and concerns.
P.S.2: I insist that lag issues cannot be solved with half-measures, like kicking and banning players (either by admins or votes), playing 4v5 games, or asking players to explain their network situation in the forums (in which none of us can really help).
More fundamental changes are needed, to at least isolate the issue to only affect the laggers themselves, without obstructing the other players.
P.S.3: From a decade ago:

@H3rmit look, i really dont care.
That admin who always remember my bad history with many issues is the same guy that back in the days was worst than me.
Then like i said, he should review his past before he throw all my bad actions.

This is a much more civilized post and I like it already. The reason why I made this post is because I’m personally confused by the ban and the increased length.
And I think we have heard many fair points and constructive feedback above, including yours.

This is a total lie.
I banned you because you were ruining games, destroying items, etc.,
If I was banning players for losing games with them, guys like Pain, 3n3myself, etc., would have been banned countless times over. You're just making a fictitious reason as to why you're getting banned.
IDK why you act the way you do. You act entitled. Go play somewhere else if you have an attitude issue. You're a good player but everyone here can see you're stubborn and unreceptive to what is being told to you.
Like, just reading your behavior here and not playing a single game with you, one could easily see how you are a problematic individual.
Just admit you should have kicked the person lagging and holding up the game and stop arguing with people. You gain nothing. Yeah, go find your VPN and enjoy the lag spikes... or just say you understand what you should have done and move on with your life.

That has nothing to do with why you're being a dickhead when they're trying to help you get unbanned.

Why would I step in with authority when players haven’t even tried all the tools and options available to sort things out themselves? If there was no admin in the game and a player reported this, I would still ban the player and ask them to hit the forum to explain themselves. Players can usually resolve 90% of issues if they tap into the most powerful skill out there—common sense. It seems like you’re either missing that skill entirely or just pretending not to notice that this player’s actions, or lack thereof, was directly screwing over eight others just to spite Haliente. So, one person’s vendetta gets to hold eight players hostage, all in the name of “respecting their choice”? Is that how you ran your servers when you had bots competing with ENT? Maybe that explains why your on ENT now...

Its very simple, we expect players to practice common sense (some common courtesy would be a bonus) and enjoy their games. Avoid doing dumb shit to people where you wouldn’t tolerate being done to you. No admins here are actively looking for extra work to do. We are not dying to review the next replay/post or waiting to prey on players to get them banned.

As I've previously told you @unitil is probably the one person that can make any changes to the bots. But you would continue to suggest it on ban appeals/request or unrelated post as if it will automatically get routed onto his queue for review...
Don't you upload maps to @unitil? you can speak to him...

Re: Is it bannable to refuse to kick laggers?
Ahahah you make me laugh astros for real.
First, i think i explain myself pretty well why i didnt want to vk. I though u are from us and english is your native language, i might be wrong,
You return with shitty attitude when i said that u made abuse back in the days when u were admin and i`ve been one of the victim of your moments of anger management issues. And no, it`s not a lie, u banned me one month because i lose 2 times in row being in your team. To bad that are not many players around here to prove that you made alot of abuses as admin. You ask me to admit my mistakes but u can not admit your abuses. I really thought u are smarter than the french guy. Again i`ve been wrong.
Mike i still want to know a reason why the 2nd guy who didnt vk, didnt get a ban?

Re: Is it bannable to refuse to kick laggers?
The second player who didn’t VK is our infamous Pegase. He’s currently serving a 7-day ban, not specifically for this, but for a much graver offense (He was banned the same day you were). By comparison, your minor infraction was a mere misstep, while he’s a true crime lord.
