Best Lanaya build ?

I've been going wraiths, lothar, desolator, bfly....

I've heard people suggesting dagger, not quite sure how this works though.

What builds have people found best?

refraction, dagger into position, meld, attack
refraction, meld, let dagger go off cooldown (refraction keeps damage from disabling dagger as long as it has charges left), dagger out

Deso is your other key item because it's the most suitable dps item by far since it adds armor reduction to meld and a large amount of flat damage to your limited refraction charges. Rest of items has to be picked depending on circumstances. I'm a garbage ta, but that's the general idea of it.

There are two of my replays

First two items are dagger and desolator. Can do it in either order.
Extend into carry items with w/e you need currently. I really like sange and yasha on Lanaya, so I usually go that next.

Here's what to do in a fight.
1: spot your target. your target should be the low hp/armor person on their team. someone like lion, skymage, etc.
2: (optional) C T to slow them
3: blink dagger on their location
4: R + D to hide then attack
Attack until they die, which should come pretty quickly. Retreat and select your next target. Remember you're an assassin

to farm:
1: for jungle, stand as close as possible to they can all hit you without moving. attack the one in front, and splash hits all creeps.
2: for lane, allow the creeps to align horizontally (i.e. all melee creeps hitting your melee creeps), go to one side and attack in, allowing splash to hit all
3: also for lane, if all 4 creeps are coming in a line (as in, you're advancing beyond the creepwave), then just attack the one in front to wipe whole wave
You have to actually think about how to use your splash; you aren't Sven here, it hits in a VERY narrow line.

psionic traps for vision and slowing running enemies should go:
- rune spots
- secret shop
- jungle entrance and a few spots
- some lanes

If you're playing against a techies, enable Refraction and run into their basic mines

always remember you're templar assassin here.. not templar tank.
you dont have any chance vs something like a farmed Faceless Void, don't go into a fight you won't be able to win
You need disablers with you to beat a real carry

Refraction in this version is bugged - it adds damage for only 1 attack even when the skill is level 4.

That is true. However the damage isn't the most important part of that skill.

It is when it comes to kill lol. When 2 hits kill becomes 3 hits, or 3 hits becomes 5, you may become the one killed

Another thing to keep in mind as Lanaya is to pre-emptively use Refraction. It has one hell of a cooldown, so if it's already halfway when you initiate the fight, you can use it twice in a fight, potentially escaping a counter-gank or keeping the damage bonus for all attacks.
