Not another Tier List - DOTA

Hello gentlemen its been a while since I've played this much dota so now I think i have a decent enough sample size to make a Tier List again. Instead of repeating the usual format as last time I think it would be more interesting to divide players in different categories. Once again this is my personal opinion from playing with said players I don't mean to offend you if I didn't include you in it. Naturally this list will be much smaller since Ill only be doing 3 players per category and no same player can be in two categories. For example Astros could be argued to be top 1 in multiple categories but ill restrict it to only 1 to let some less known players shine.

Updates:
1. Added a new category (space creators) and shuffled a few players
2. Split support categories into 2 roamers and hard support and added new players
3. Added a new category consistent performers


best positioning (generally anticipate well where teamfights/ganks will occur)

best mechanical skill (have deep understanding of spell interactions/unit micro/macro)

best farming ability (can spot safe/risky farm on the map and have high gpm overall)

best comeback player (when in a pinch they can pull some amazing plays or suicides)

best snowballing player (if given a good start its very hard to beat them)

best position 4 supports aka roamers (these guys understand the importance of early pressure and gank in a lane where it has a high chance of succeeding)

best position 5 aka hard support (selfless warding ganking map awareness and positivity)

best counterpickers (not a joke this in itself is a skill it means u understand hero matchups)

best space creators (similar in a way to the comeback players but different in that they attract attention away from the main carries and do so in the right parts of the map even if they die sometimes)

Most miserable category

4 +/- astros - loves to complain even with victory in sight. Depends on the day though but typically does cry a lot.

For the first 3, this category involves players that initially try but after 1 death, their attitude takes over, which results in perma wood/flame/blame etc.

Yeah, we could be winning but no one wants to play with a clown like yourself who picks necro, kses a 200 hp hero, and then runs away FULL HP leaving the person who is carrying you to die after you just conveniently ksed them. Take me out of the equation and ask yourself why everyone feels that way about you.

Why the fuck am i mentioned as a category.

I posted game evidence constantly about how high elo players refuse to play well on my team. That's not quitting after one death. That is being frustrated.

Look at this recent game. Just look at it.

This is my team.

lumberjackk is 1k elo and takes LC, an op hero as well know given how frequently its picked.

dodododowarrior is a smurf account of some high elo player. Takes naix.

hahanewjazzy is also some new account from a high level player. Takes nec.

slarkypick yet another above 1k elo player who takes another powerful hero in riki.

And then there is me. 700 elo and takes witch doctor. So we have 4 above average to high elo players and me. a 700 elo player. How in the ever living fuck can the 700 elo player have the highest level hero, most kills, least deaths AND most assists? How the fuck is that even possible?

The other team had a similar line up, with 4 good players and easty. So the game should come down to basically me and easty and which one of us sucks the least right? Easty of course was level 15, by far the lowest level of all 9 players. He also had the least kills and most deaths on his team. Yet he wins.

WHY you may ask? Because the 4 other players on his team tried. Didn't ruin, even though he himself ruined.

And this happens constantly. Look at my page on hermit's stats. I literally do not win the game unless I play above average or better. I never win otherwise. Ever. And I am the lowest rated person on my team most of the time.

I repeat, how can someone with such low elo be the top 1 or 2 on his team many times? How? I am not just saying kills or least deaths, I am now showing I am also highest level and most assists. If the lowest elo player on a team does well, how can that keep translating into loss after loss. Don't you think at some point it must have to do with the teammates performance.

And the question I keep asking and is never answered - why do other similarly rated players as me never ever lead their teams in level or kills or assists like me? Think about that.

The game I posted is such a clear cut example of what I rant about. Easty played to his elo yet still booked a win. I played better than my 700 elo would suggest, and my team refused to play normal.

And i have taken advice, and just refuse to talk or whine in game. It makes no difference.

When I get a normal team, I do not make a peep. I just cannot fathom why people wait 40 mins for a game to start, just to ruin. Why even play video games at that point? Can't you just switch to the other team and play normal? Why join my team just to fucking ruin I cannot understand.

I'd put ouchies aka hahanewshoes in there for sure for best positioning. Guy is able to accomplish amazing things with positioning.
Also, certainly bolbol for support. For best farmer, maybe Hoogin or even jub3.

Any list like this is gonna be subjective, way more so than the previous tiers list. But my list (if I had one - I don't as I think this concept is kinda lame) would include these players on there.

For farm I just noticed I was kinda using different standards than you, and didn't take into account efficiency or safety. My selection choice was basically 'will this player be trusted to farm and eventually emerge to carry with that farm?'. So yeah...Also, didn't mean to put it down in that way. I just felt the updated tiers list was a better idea! Carry on.

Not sure about the counterpicking one. Bara, Omni, Silencer, and Veno are natural born counters and that's mostly what No_Rules and others listed play. Haven't seen them play ES, ezalor, etc., Pretty short list of heroes that they can actually play that just so happen to be counters.

Flippin_Turtles and wc3! are pretty good mechanically. Razorramon used to be good mechanically with denying creeps and harassing heroes safely but it's become hit-or-miss lately.

Blueneme definitely deserves a mention for top support. Mainly because he doesn't say anything negative to his teammates and always wards, tp's to help carries, etc.,

I'd put Zjarr there for comeback player even though he mainly plays PL. Dude plays average for 95% of the game but sometimes pulls it through and wins.

Kevin9188 <---- stacks, expects to get carried, but plays for himself. countless times he will leave you there to die. seen him many times as Dirge just stand behind everyone else refusing to initiate.
Laucibai <---- megastacker who rotates between accounts in the lobby. Ends up just feeding and playing retarded. Really selfish player. Tries to pretend he's a law-abiding player on here by acting civilized but his gameplay has been borderline bannable depending on whether you care enough to push it.
Yummis <---- plays necro most of the time specifically so he can KS with his ulti. Many times he would show up at the very last second, ulti to KS a low HP enemy, and then run away leaving you to die after you've done all the work. Horrible player but even a more horrible personality of an individual.
