Evasion stack?

Postby DagoniX » Mon Aug 15, 2016 12:31 pm

Just questioning whether or not Evasion stacks, for instance, double butterfly? or halberd and butters?
I was always under the impression that ur chance of evasion was always only ur highest, so 35% for butters, the rest doesn't count...? yes or no?

that doesn't sound like a very intelligent answer, anyone got some sort of explanation as to why I've been told in game that butters stack, some sort of bug?

It just simply... doesn't. As I explained to you in game, only void's evasion does

It stacks just not fully but diminishingly.
You have two Butterflies (35% Evasion)
Now your total evasion would be 0.35 + (0.65 * 0.35) = 57.75% instead of 70%
(0.65 is 1-0.35, so your second Butterfly can only evade 0.65% of the total hits independent from your first butterfly.)

A build that ive used jokingly but works suprisingly well is treads hotd 3 halberds huskar. Works surprisingly well until they get mkb. Ur basically physically immune and magically immune.

How do you figure? Not that there's any way to prove or disprove it either way

Don't forget butterfly on void etc. Works very well before mkb.

void's backtrack has nothing to do with evasion. Its a damage prevention skill that works like an instant forced heal at the amount of damage dealt. He still gets hit from the attack or spell, so he can be bashed for example even if he doesnt get damaged from an attack. So, if u wanna "bug" the system, when u have lion or lina and u wanna kill a void, you should throw at him your ulti when he is at full hp, because backtrack will never trigger as long as void has been dealt no damage at all.
Spoiler!
Backtrack belongs to the group of damage negating effects. It is not evasion.
This means it only negates damage, it does not evade any side effects of spells or attacks, like disables.
When an attack has e.g. Diffusal Blade 1 icon.png Diffusal Blade and Backtrack triggers on the attack, the damage is avoided, but the mana burn still takes effect.
This also means that Monkey King Bar icon.png Monkey King Bar will not stop Backtrack from avoiding attack damage.
Evasion has priority over Backtrack. When evasion procs, Backtrack can't proc on that attack.
Backtrack has the 3rd highest priority in the group of damage negating effects.
This means when combined with e.g. Aphotic Shield icon.png Aphotic Shield or Living Armor icon.png Living Armor, Bactrack negates damage while the shield or armor do not.
As with all damage manipulating effects and despite the ability description, Backtrack can negate all 3 damage types.
Increases Faceless Void's effective HP by an average of 11%/18%/25%/33% against those.
Backtrack fully ignores damage which is flagged as HP Removal.
