Bubonicus guide 4.0.0 Public Beta

Item build:
Spoiler!
PS: WOTW = wand of the wind

Starting items:
Sell Ankh
Webbed feet
Pearl
Wotw
Chimaera scout

Early game:
Webbed feet
Pearl
Wotw x2
Ward x2

Core:
Webbed feet
Pearl
Titanic wards
wotwx2
Ward
Floating eye

Luxury (in this order):
Armour of fate
Berzerker gem
Abysmal waters
Helm of dominator
Titanic trident

Going Berzerker's Gem instead of Armour of Fate early is a good idea for farming and minion killing. If you have enough minions, go for AoF build instead for sieging build.

Skill build:
Lvl 2: Nuke + WW
Lvl 3-7: Max heal first, level two nuke if needed.
Lvl 8: you will have Corpse exhumation, which increases corpse spawn rate to 45, and allows storing up to 6 corpses at a time, which is 6 heals+bloodlusts in a siege, in a short amount of time. It seriously is OP.

Item build explanation:You sell the ankh because it gives 15G, which gives you enough for all the things you really need for early game. Saving it for later just so you can die and waste it is not a good plan. Some better players use it to ankh jump, but I think ankh jumping is not necessary in pubs.

The reason why I don't get life essence is because Bubonicus does not benefit from magic coral, which is one of the main reasons why life essence is so easy to build. Instead, Bubonicus builds Shield fates early to get much needed armour, and some damage reduction. When you get Armour of fate and start building Berzerker gem, you'll be an unstoppable force with your OP 800HP heals.

Wand of the winds are a necessity for minions.
Titanic wards only cost 35G, and is basically a walking gold mound with enough minions for your Bubonicus, who doesn't need mana.
Extra wards are for ward blocks.
Armour of fate in conjunction with Abysmal waters and titanic ward means that you will get a lot of effective HP back and intense life regen.
I say effective HP because armour of fate doesn't give HP, but its +10 armour is basically turning a 3k HP titan into a 4.8k HP titan, and that's not counting the damage block and evasion.
You get Helm of dominator last because the more strength you have, the more damage you deal, and hopefully at this point you are high enough level to have a lot of strength.
Titanic trident is for more strength, which goes well in conjunction with Helm of dominator which will multiply the strength into more damage.

The reason why we get berzerker gem first before titanic trident, is because titanic trident increases health pool, which makes our 800HP heal less OP.

Key factors to Bubo's playstyle:

Before you siege a strong base, place many corpse wards outside of tower range in order to build a corpse farm. five to 6 corpse wards should be sufficient, try to build it up slowly until you think you have enough corpse wards.

A steady supply of corpses close to the base allows a lot of healing and bloodlust with the 1.5 second cooldown, which is an integral part in sieging with bubonicus.

Bubo's nuke doesn't do reliable damage, but its no-cast time range stun is really really good for getting minions.
Bubo's WW crit is really nice to kill builders with.
Bubo's heal takes away your HP, then chains it to your minions if you have no corpses.

Confirmed Bubo bugs:

Nuking with Bubonicus is a pain because it sometimes does not do full damage to everyone in the targeted area even with max. corpses.
Corpse wards create permanent blight.
Nuking then cancelling the cast time still allows full stun duration. (Buff to Bubonicus!)

EDIT: Going Berzerker's Gem instead of Armour of Fate early is a good idea for farming and minion killing. If you have enough minions, go for AoF build instead for sieging build.
