Unusual lag

Postby StormBorn » Fri Mar 17, 2017 12:22 am

Hi!

For about two or three days now i've been experiencing annoying glitches in gameplay.
Not a lag, per se, but micro freezing every 2 seconds.

I playied brazilian games and STATS games to check if it was my connection or maybe something about my pc, but, no: everything is normal.
So, by elimination, its your bots. Are you aware about this issue? Will it be fixed? What can i do to attenuate it?

Thank you! ;-)

Depending on the distance of the bot your playing on - it may give you a higher ping than normal.

Since this started about two or three days ago, have you updated any sort of program?

Also, which games do you play, and which glitches?

I am from Brasil.
I only play Dota APEM US/CA.
I play on ENT for maybe 3 years, or more, and this never happened before. Started 3 days ago.
When i play i turn off any program that may cause lag, specially the torrent client, and also any software that uses too much ram.
I usually get around 120ms ping on ENT games. Even if i get 200ms games are perfectly playable.
The only software updated in the last few days was Windows, but windows updating is the most usual thing in the universe.
My PC is far from an obsolete junk: a top-class Dell desktop machine bought 2 years ago.

The glitches are micro freezing, every 2 seconds. It is not "lag", cause theres no waiting for the actions after the click. In this matter, gameplay is absolutely normal. The only thing are really the "micro freezings".

Is this only happening on Dota APEM US/CA? What about the other ENT autohost-bots?

IDK.

If i try on AREM, will it be another bot?
I can do it right now and bring you the answer after game ends.

You know...

I noticed another thing: ping is more unstable: going from 120 to 130, then 125, 140, 120, you know? Very unstable...
Maybe all this ups and downs are causing the freezings?

Happening to me recently on HM RPG most notably, and it's the only map I play. Going up to 134+ ms and I am never above like 23.

Your ping will never be a stable number. A ping increase of 20-50ms is not even noticeable, as it translates to 0.02-0.05 milliseconds of delay.

It sounds more like a graphic issue. You could check if your graphics card is up to date, and if not, update it to the latest version.
