Tournament info!

Here all the info you need for the LTD tournament this weekend! A lot of the info will be the same as the July tournament, so first a few changes/important things, after that the whole text.

• The map will be played on legion td mega 3.41e
• Following the poll there will be no rule about selling and/or clogging. Just in very extreme cases (like everyone selling buildings right before racing round) you can still get a penalty for abusing game mechanics.
• There will be no draws for disconnects so get gproxy!
• Captains must come to ent chat and the captain of the first team listed in the match-up in challonge will have to host via ENT Link!
• The winning team will have to post the result + (link to) replay in the thread I will make on the evening of the tournament.

Start of the tournament and Ent Chat
All captains will have to be in ENT chat (https://entgaming.net/chat /) approximately 10 minutes before the start of the tournament, so that I can check if everyone is there and so that other teams do not have to wait. Ent chat will also be used for communications between the teams who have to play and questions to the organization of the tournament. Other tournament participants can join the chat, but only the captains do the chatting. This to avoid unnecessary confusion and spamming.

We will have 16 teams, so that means a full tournament with 8 matches! I will randomize all the seedings and match-ups about one hour before the tournament start. You can find the tournament set-up and matchups here: http://challonge.com/novLTD (So remember the matchups you see now won’t be the matchups in the tournament).

Hosting the games
The captain of the team that is listed first in the match-up in challonge will host the game through ENT Link (https://entgaming.net/link/). The map that will be used is “Legion TD Mega 3.41e.w3x” as uploaded by broud3r. The game name will be “Tour” followed by the number of the matchup as you see on Challonge, e.g. Tour1, Tour15, et cetera.

There are no observers allowed in the games, with the exception of tournament organization, ENT moderators and streamers who are approved by the tournament organization.

The captain of the winning team will have to report the result on the forum. I will make a new thread with more info on the match day.

Rules in the games
The rules will be the same as the rules on the 1200+ bot. The only exception is that there is no rule on selling towers. Familiarize yourself with the rules before the tournament. Some main differences for Mega players are that you cannot build on the dark-green area, nor use anti-stuck. The main difference for LIHL players is that you cannot split on any round except the level you are going to send demons. The captains are responsible that all team members know the rules. Ignorance is no excuse for breaking rules in the tournament!

If you are banned on the general ENT bots you won’t be able to participate in the tournament.

Punishments on breaking rules will be looked at case by case. Auto-losing the game, disqualification and playing the game all over again (when time allows it) are among the possibilities. Serious offences will also have consequences outside of the tournament (map hacking, ghosting, ban dodging).

Time schedule
The first three rounds in the winner’s bracket and the first five rounds in the loser’s brackets will be direct knock-out. The semi-final and loser final will be best of three and the Grand Final best of five with 1 ‘free win’ for the team who made the final through the winner’s bracket.

Because of the time schedule we do not have time to draw for disconnects. This means games will be played out regardless of disconnects. So I would recommend everyone to play with GProxy or on entconnect.

This is the schedule for the tournament

Lastly, I want to ask all the captains to make sure all the players of your team will be there on time. Please inform them about the times! We will allow swapping players in case players aren’t there/can’t make it. Just change your line-up in the sign-up thread. However, once you played your first game, you cannot swap players anymore. Also we don’t allow players to be signed for multiple teams during the tournament.
I wish everybody a fun tournament!

You can change the player, just if he will not be available to play, for example he can play 1-2 matches then he needs go to work, it happens to work on saturday, how is it my case. But normal, if you signed your team with first 4 players you should continue with them until end.

Not true, you can use your team as you like. If you wanna swap every game between the 5 players on your roster that's fine.

Won't do this, unless there is someone who is not in the tournament who has time to do SS tests, check them and teach them to players who have never worked with it. I won't have the time to do SS tests while I'm playing and checking them (maybe only in the final).

Well but since you can win money here, the "motivation" of using a maphack is way bigger than in lihl imo (and even more after reading this^^) And i guess if you post the info how to ss test in tournament info, every player with a brain should get it (to late for this tourn, but mb for upcoming?) :D

I think there is no need to be paranoid and start to believe that if you earn money in the tournament, many will try to play with maphack. I think all players will be as fair as possible ... the first thing, in this competition you show that you respect yourself and that you can prove something without to install such of nonsense programs.
And don't forget:
"If you do not respect your enemy, that means you lose the chance to defeat him."

Good luck to all and enjoy this tourney ! ^^
