1. I could not click to control king for 10 secs, I could not change target of attack with alt
2. Pd in front line list HP on lvl 10 while spawning adds, before anything attacked or even came near PD

PD loses hp when it spawns now as of the mosy tecent update, it has somehp regen to compensate

From what I've noticed it is always safest if you are going to be controlling the king to select him well in advance of ever having to use him, to gain possession. If the king is left controlled by the neutral player and he begins defending a wave, there is the delay as you say before you are able to take control.
Unfortunate, but the fix is not hard, just select him at the start of the game if you are going to be controlling him.

theres a "king steal" protection so you cant take the king when a player controlls him. this applies to the computer as well.
