LTL Rules, Point System & Trades

Postby KiwiLeKiller » Tue Aug 01, 2017 12:36 pm

IMPORTANT: This thread is updated frequently, just like the wiki. If there is any inconsistency or contradiction between a post/topic and the LTL Rules, Point System & Trades thread, the later one has priority.

1. General Rules
All ENT General rules and 1200+ rules are to be respected when playing LTL. Failure to respect those rules will result in consequences according to the violation and to the history of the player.

For more details, visit the rule section of the wiki

2. League-specific Rules
Being a League, LTL contains some league-specific rules, those rules are listed below.

2.1 Do not abuse !owner rights.
2.2 Leaving: Do not leave before game has been won, forfeited by all players from opposite team or drawn by both captains to remake the game.
2.3 The game mode will be -phgmnmcb and it is red's responsibility to enter it.
    • If red fails to enter it, players must pick the prophet builder and must make sure their build will not pull another lane's creeps and if it is still the case, do not make use of this gold unfairly earned.
2.4 It is not allowed to drop a player. If someone is lagging, let him reconnect or disconnect.
2.5 It is not mandatory to !draw. For this reason, the usage of GProxy DLL is strongly recommended.
    • If someone disconnects, the players can decide either if they want to remake or simply play it, it is up to the persons in-game.
2.6 Only LTL moderators and/or allowed streamers may observe games.
Captains are responsible that the team members are fully aware of the rules.

Any rule violation will be followed by disciplinary measures from league moderators. If you wish to report a player for breaking the rules, private message anyone from LTL Staff, on Discord or on forum, with proper time-stamps and with the replay link.

3. Match-Scheduling Rules
It is the duty of the captain to represent his team when it comes to scheduling a match with another team's captain. With that being said, there are some rules to respect:

3.1 Each team must designate a captain and co-captain. Discord is mandatory for both of them.
3.2 there is no pre-established schedule. Teams may schedule as many or as few games per week at any time of the week.
3.3 When both captains came to an agreement concerning the time the match will be played, they must notice the staff members on Discord. See the example below for what we are expecting.
3.4 When reaching 20 minutes past the time agreed by both captains and that a team doesn't show up, or shows up without enough players to play the game, the game will be considered as a forfeit for this particular game.

Example Scheduling - Captains/Co-Captains may announce that their team is available at a certain time and date in the #ltl-games channel. Any team available at the same time may accept the challenge. Priority will be given to the first team who replies. Scheduling may also be discussed through DM with confirmed matches being posted in #ltl-games.

If someone is breaking any of those rules, you need to report him directly to LTL Staff with proofs. Be it screenshots, replay link and Discord conversation, it needs to be flawless.

Remember that when a player is banned on ENT, he will not be able to play on the LTL.

4. Point system

4.1 Teams play a total of 4 individual games against one another.
4.2 Each win is 1 point.
4.3 At the end of the season, the 8 teams with the most points will qualify to the playoffs.
4.4 In case of equality between 2 (or more) teams at the end of the season, here is how teams tied will be separated:
Tiebreak #1 - If a team has a 3-1 or 4-0 standing vs a specific team then they will be placed above opposing teams with similar record
Tiebreak #2 - If opposing teams have a 2-2 record against one another, whichever team has completed their games first will be awarded the higher seeding.
5. Trades
Is considered as a trade: Every action done in order to change a team's player base, be it a trade between 2 teams, a trade for a free-agent, adding a player or dropping a player.

5.1 Every team can proceed to 2 trades for free during the regular season.
5.2 Every additional trade will cost 1 point to the team.
5.3 Captains and Co-Captains may not be traded.
5.4 If a team starts the season with 5 players, it can draft 2 players for free and it won't count as a trade.
A proper post must be done on the Sign-ups & Trades thread before the trade is considered effective.

6. Playoffs
6.1 Seeds will be determined by W-L record (total wins/points) with tiebreakers being decided by number of games completed (if both teams have completed the same amount of games then it will be dependent on who finishes first)
6.2 Top 4 Seeds will start in a winners bracket (bo3 -> bo5 -> bo7) First team in the finals will start with 1 Win
    6.3 Bottom 4 Seeds will start in a losers bracket (bo1 -> bo3 -> bo5)
