[RELEASE] Wintermaul One Revolution 1.0

General

  • Fixed some grammar errors.
  • Fixed some hotkeys.
  • Fix some tooltips (I don’t do a list because I think that’s changes aren’t relevant).
  • New loading screen / preview.
  • Several builders was changed his model/sound/icon.
  • Removed houses from builders, now the name of the race is the same of builder.
  • Removed display message on start with modes selected.
  • Quest log, removed old changelog and update to new.
  • Level 29 no longer block their self, now they work as intended.
  • Reduce start timer from 100s to 80s.

Commands

  • Added -light command for change dynamic light of map, the list of available types are: normal, dalaran, felwood, dungeon and under.
  • Removed -s command, don’t have sense now because the mode selection was listed on multiboard. The original -s command for player red is still working.
  • Added -zoom animation for 1s.

Systems

  • Multileaderboard
    • Added row to Duke Wintermaul, it counts the units alive from him and added Shared Extra info.
  • Race Picking Selection
    • All pick and all pick double was fully reworked, all houses was removed and u can choose 1/2 races in shops in the middle of map.
  • Race Picking Modes
    • Added All Same Builder and All Same Builde Double mode, all players get the same builders or same builder double.
    • All Random Double Race and Same builder double, nevermore can randomed two builders of the same type, changed a little the system, reduced lag and can check if same race was randomed.
  • Difficulty
    • All difficulty has been increased except impossible, old hard is now normal. Added new difficulty “Easy” , easy is old normal mode.
  • Endless Mode (BETA)
    • New available mode, you can play beyond level 30 until you lose or you get tired: P, it's unlimited and you can play the waves you want. Test ur skill in this mode, same as classic but unlimited waves.

Miscellaneous

  • Added camara smothing factor.
  • Added camara pan for new pick selection system.
  • Added sound for startup.
  • Added sound for impossible mode.
  • Added window timer for mode selection remain timer.
  • Added hints.

UI

  • All UI from user was changed to custom one , the default race of mazers was now Undead.
  • Added color health bars, green at full life , red on low life.

Races


  • Spark, Meteor, Wind summoner, Random Race and Void Constructor
    • New model and icon art.
  • Warden
    • Warthog
      • Ability “Bestialischer Gestank” now it affects air.
  • Skull Summoner
    • Skull Archer
      • Damage up from 5 to 7.
      • Speed projectile up from 800 to 1000.
      • Fixed range, now attacks at 1000.
    • Dark hunter
      • Fixed range, now attacks at 1500.
  • War Strategyst
    • Knight
      • Fixed range, now attacks at 300.
  • Alpha Wolf
    • Stray Wolf
      • Splash area from air increased from 45-60 to 50-75.
    • Rabid Flea Bag
      • Added attack sound.
    • Spirit Wolf
      • Splash area from air increased from 55-70 to 60-80.
  • Beam Laboratory
    • Beam blaster
      • Now have air splash (150-250).
  • Gravity Lord
    • Black Hole
      • Reworked: Now it deals 5% dmg target life every 0.8s in 500 aoe.
  • Meteor
    • Insane Gravity
      • Fixed problem with slow, added slow aura -50% movement nearby units in 500 range.
  • Shogun (Changed model art and icon).
    • Jonin & Chunin
      • Changed missile art to shuriken and kunai.
      • Changed sound.
  • Doom Bringer (full rework)
    • Assasin, Flame Assasin and Frost Assasin
      • New model, missile art and sound.
    • Flame and Frost Assasin
      • Can’t update to Decimator.
    • Priest of … changed his name to Shadow Priest
      • Range up from 700 to 850.
      • Cooldown from 0.8 to 0.7.
      • Damage type from normal to chaos.
      • Splash added 100-180 area.
      • Gold cost up from 100 to 120.
    • Removed Doom Drog.
    • Added Chaos Knight.
      • Range 300.
      • Damage 350.
      • Cooldown 0.5
      • None splash.
      • Unique: critical strike 25% 2.5, cleaving attack 75% 300 area.
      • Gold cost 250.
    • Hellraiser
      • Fixed problems with rain / does not apply burn.
      • Fixed range , it works at 900 but working on 700.
      • This no longer the last tower.
      • Gold cost down from 425 to 400.
      • Changed icon.
      • Rain of fire damage changed from 850 wave + 250 burn/s (1s) to 500 wave + 250 burn/s (2s).
      • Changed icon.
    • Decimator (full rework)
      • Range down to 300.
      • Damage up to 1110
      • Chaos damage.
      • Cooldown 0.1
      • Gold cost 600.
      • Unique: Relentless Aura: Decreases enemy regeneration by 200% and slows enemy movement by 30% in an area of 500.
      • Changed model/missile/sound
  • Spark
    • Battery
      • Splash down from 150-300 to 150-250.
      • Down total damage splash from 250 to 150.

I'm against it, people will just decide on 1 default mode and we won't see other anymore. It happened to many maps. It's best as it is.

Sorry but this don't will be added, always have problems when all players vote.

Anyway in future releases -s command will be removed and all modes will be choosen with commands , -ar , -ap, -ap2, -ar2, -sm, sm2, etc

Hello,

I've been playing Wintermaul One for years. I'm glad you've taken it upon yourself to implement some balances, but it doesn't seem they've gone for enough since this game is literally unbeatable with certain races. This is one major flaw. Also, what on earth drove you to change the way the camera operates, the health bar, and the UI? It looks absolutely disgusting. You've messed with the aesthetics rather than the core of what's wrong with the game, and it's rubbed people the wrong way.

I'm happy you care about the game, but you've fucked up.

Yeah, I can't disagree with that. While healthbar for me isn't THAT bad, I dislike new ui and terrain. Hopefully he'll change it back if there's enough feedback.

Please make some buffs to the Wind race. As someone that wants to try out a different race, starting off with the wind race is extremely difficult.

PLEASE get rid of the -light and -sound alltogether!

If you want to kill the game and community, then keep introducing and keeping these kind of things.

-sound is pretty cool but there needs to be some kind of delay before you can use it again, right now some people (rarely) spam it to annoy others. For now you can just turn off sounds (ctrl+s) if someone do it, it's not like you need it in wmo, many races are actually annoying with their noises.

100% agreed many races need buff. Some are simply unplayable, they're not even good in combo with others.

I don't have time right now for make changes, Im really busy at work so im reading the feedbacks and commit changes in next week.

- Default UI.
- Default healthbar.
- Snow terrain.
- Delay on sounds.
- Light removed.
- Camera smothing option.

Can agree that people do not like the new interface changes, but to say that the game has been fucked by an aesthetic change does not seem reasonable.

Some people said tips are a bit annoying so maybe add command that disables them for you?

Also you can still get same 3rd race after level 14 in random.

Just a Suggestion, though probably will be declined.

Is there a way to allow players to vote to change who sets modes?
Example: Red Desyncs and there's no more red to set the modes -> Sets to default. Or -> Red AFKs and doesn't choose mode at all.
Game pause, !vote blue -s, changes who sets the difficulty to blue if more than half votes.

Suggestion for Endless:
Since it's in Beta, I hope that each endless new wave will have increasingly higher armor and health, as the current is indeed endless but the waves HP are pretty much set during endless (2 murloc waves in a row but both waves have same armor and health value), like a progressively higher curve till the player will lose.

(And maybe do like Gem TD having a damage test to run (Immune to slows, poison, stuns, cripple etc.) to see how much damage their maze has done, before towers are cleared and a practice builder is given.

Haven't seen the dev for a long while, he doesn't reply on discord either, sadly I think he might have dropped developing the map. Hopefully I'm wrong and it's just him not having time.
