Yikes. Haven't really touched this game at all since the new patches effectively made it more bothersome for me to play than it was worth but this is just sad. The game has served many of us well for years and it's the only game I've put many hours into. The sad part is ENT wouldn't have been necessary if Blizzard were able to create a functioning system from the get-go. I'd take a look at their Blizzard General Discussion thread but every time I visit it, it's the same old story. Patch after patch has made the game more frustrating than ever to play. I'm not sure why they are still pushing ladder, anyways. It's the most unplayable game considering the amount of hackers. But hey, they're the billion dollar company that has an all-time high in terms of share price.

I can't even get Warcraft III to start but wouldn't it make more sense to shut it down during the weekdays? Plenty of people are getting off work and would like to play on the weekends. While I understand ENT's decision to do this, on behalf of the players, let them play this weekend out.

That's the whole idea behind the weekend shutdown though.. more upset WC3 players = more people voicing their concerns to Blizzard-Activision.

As stated, I understand the decision but in my opinion, since it will be back up in two days, I think it'd make more sense on the weekdays. Blizzard honestly doesn't care, anyway. It doesn't take a genius to realize that many of the games hosted are by a hostbot via a third party.

you're just hastening warcraft end... they don't care about the game... no amount of complaint is gonna change it... and if it would you would be better off waiting for blizzard to stop it and then we get pissed at them... if blizzard wants to remove them they would have done it and if they do in the future it won't matter whether u complain or not... they don't give a damn about this community there is zero money in it for them...why would they? your just making warcraft end for sure when it was just a possibility before! and sooner if it was gonna anyway end anyway... dam you!!!

A part of me wonders if Blizzard is moving Warcraft 3 in the direction of SC2 Arcade?
I sincerely hope they don't. I just hate that they're making most games only playable online now or days.

Blizzard has the right to ruin the custom games for everyone, but it makes them douchebags. Especially when they lie and try to say they aren't doing it. Which they clearly are. I would still have respect for them if they didn't lie about it. People who gaslight are scum.

I found an interesting post on the Blizzard forum https://us.battle.net/forums/en/bnet/topic/20769497054 which points to an individual which it says is behind much of the bot-killing changes, named Pete Stillwell. I don't know if this is true or who this man is however.

I doubt very much that you do a competitive game, you have reset the statistics and, I have been posting a week for you to restore them to me ...

Sorry Ent, but this is potentially a bad move on your part.

No drug dealer is going to give their addicts 48 hrs to wean off the drug of their choice. I fear this will potentially backfire against your intentions.
