An easy way to fix/help with lag for those using a mac

Postby child » Fri Sep 06, 2013 3:15 pm

Hi this is just a tip for all of those using Mac OS, I figured I would post it since I have seen a lot of complaints about lag and this fixed my lag issues entirely.

Each time you shut down and start up your mac this must be done, but if you leave your computer on it only need be done one time.

Open the program Terminal, for those who do not know what that is click the magnifying glass in the top of the screen (or spotlight) and type in Terminal, or it can usually be found in the utilities folder.

Once Terminal is open do not click or type anything besides the following into the command prompt:
sudo sysctl -w net.inet.tcp.delayed_ack=0

Press enter. If you have a password for your administrator type that now and press enter again, if not you should be good to go.

Lag issues helped or resolved almost guaranteed
