If i change the forum name, will my old posts be linked to the new name? Like I'll be able to see my old posts by using the user control panel?

The answer is yes. Changing your forum name doesn't wipe anything, it simply works like your re re-naming your account. You keep everything you have (posts, information etc...), just remember to log in using the new name if it changes.
