New Desktop with Win8

Postby teller55 » Sat Jul 20, 2013 7:49 pm

Hey all o/

Question, I just got a new desktop (custom built) with Win8 OS and I'm curious, is it a general problem that Win8 blue screens (BSoD) or do you think something may be wrong with my computer?

It only BSoD's when I'm playing WC3 in Full screen mode (I have 3 monitors, but only play wc3 on the center one and in full screen) (This is just for some background of how I'm running it.)

Any thoughts on possible issues/is this just Win8 being crappy with a 10 year old game?

Yes I'm running as admin, and no I'm not getting LINUX because I'm not a programmer

You've probably heard this before but i'm going to say it anyway, BSOD's is usually the result of faulty hardware. It is very unlikely that your WC3 itself is causing your BSOD since it is a software program. Another possibility may be that your Warcraft 3 is utilizing a part of your hardware that is faulty thus causing your BSOD.

I'm having the building of the computer come look at it sometime soon, hopefully he'll find what hardware is wrong with it.

/Resolved for now.
