wc3 loading issue

Ever since the last patch, i got some weird loading issue

I open the wc3, it loads the old version stretched window
Click Bnet it says downloading update. Download complete, press the below button to restart.
The next 'new' update window comes up, but the update already exists, so I have 2 options "repair" and "launch" (clicking repair it goes through some process but essentially doesn't fix anything)
Then wc3 opens with the new non stretched version, and clicking bnet lets me play.

This is my process every time i close wc3.

Anyone having this issue? Anyone know how to fix it?

Running wc3 in as admin doesn't change anything.

I would check your alias that you're launching your game from. It may be leading to an older installation on your computer.

Im opening the "warcraft 3" application file in the wc3 folder

Sometimes when you update your installation, if you renamed the default Warcraft III.exe launcher it will keep the launcher in your installation directory. Any aliases you've created (via automatic or start menu) will always point towards that outdated Warcraft III.exe (or whatever it is named) within your installation folder.

I would recommend deleting any game launcher(s) beside the Warcraft Launcher.exe from your folder. After, launch the game via the mentioned Warcraft launcher and click repair. This should replace any missing launchers from your installation.

@Dhamma If you still having problems, unistall the current one you have by going to control panel, unistall a program, WarCraft III, and download a fresh launcher by visiting this link https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/7836

You will need to know your WC3 ROC / TFT cdkeys as you will be starting over from scratch.
