Java Warning

Postby gkgough » Thu Jan 16, 2014 2:39 am

Today i received the following warning in bold face, large, red colored text, included in the usual "security warning" popup window, when starting entconnect. "Running applications by UNKNOWN publishers will be blocked in a future release because it is potentially unsafe and a security risk."

I have followed the directions to add the enterprise certificate to the trusted list, but it still says that its an unknown publisher. Is there something I need to do to make sure i don't lose the ability to log into entconnect once said future release of java comes out?

Thanks,

@uakf.b Can you stop hiding in the shadows and become a known publisher, gosh.

No, code-signing certificates are expensive and require some sort of validation.

Fair enough. Will i still be able to play entconnect if i just keep security at medium whenever the aforementioned upgrade that they threaten will disable my ability to connect?

Yes. But do it only for ENT, could become dangerous if you do it elsewhere.
Information, Rules, Guides and everything else you need to know about ENT is on the ENT Wiki.
