Hey Fellas,

First of just want to say I love what you guys are doing, a wonderful community that allows us to game and provides help where needed. That being said, at random intervals my WC3 will completely crash as soon as I complete loading screens. It has happened on both battlenet and ENT connect. I have tried troubleshooting the game to the best of my knowledge and with no avail I now just play until it happens and then rock my justified 2 hour ban. Any guidance would be awesome if available!

System:

Windows 8.1
64 bit
amd a10-5745 2.1 ghz processor
6 gigs of ram

I currently run the game in compatibility mode settings
Windows xp service pack 3
run as administrator

Thanks for taking the time to read it guys and as always Happy Gaming!

Crashing can be caused by two things. Either there's a problem in the map or there's a problem on your end. It could also be a mixture of both. Since the map you showed us was DotA, I really thing it's something on your end. If you have any third party tools like fogclick detectors, maphack or warkeys, you should try turning them off so they aren't affecting your game.

It's hard to debug these issues. I'd say try purging WC3 from your computer and reinstalling it from version downloaded directly from Battle.net, see if that helps.

OK! I also moved the dota map into a different folder, I will purge and re install today. Fingers crossed

Thanks Fellas, Hopefully I can get this dialed in, again it only happens on like 1 in 20 matches. I am not running any third parties so that is out of the question, plus from what I read you can't run click detectors or maphacks on ENT connect anyway.
