Can't get entconnect to work.

I tried following both option 1 and 2 suggested under the wiki to no avail. Java keeps spouting

your security settings have blocked a self-signed application from running

which is getting rather annoying.

At first I thought I might have to enable java in the address bar, but it says it's already running. And the site is whitelisted. I'm running out of ideas, and hope some of you might be able to help me out.

What version of java do you have?

Version 8 Update 31 (build 1.8.0_31-b13).

Note worth mentioning. It did stop working after it was updated.

What happens if you add the site "https://entgaming.net/" to the list?

Strangely enough, it works. I'm still confused though. Why does it work now and not before? I thought it didn't matter as long as the entconnect address was whitelisted.
