There's already been a defined matter regarding the linken's sphere and imo there is no need to change it. I can see why, in some situations, that the item will require a "sell" for a greater one but that situation isn't common enough to warrant any change from the current standing rule regarding it.
That being said, at this time the linken's sphere will remain a 100% ban-able glitch. For anyone seeking a "black and white" definition for clarity -
You may not sell Linken's Sphere at any point of the game. If you buy it, you are responsible for maintaining it's presence in inventory. Failure to do this will lead to a potential ban for a known glitch involving it's ability. Should you be unaware of this, you may appeal such and the staff will act accordingly.
Given that this hasn't been clarified in the dota section of the rules, I'll see if we can have it added so that players can have a better idea of what to avoid.
