Why no server for players under 1000 ?

Postby Ropoko » Mon Jun 19, 2017 10:53 pm

Have this been discussed yet ?
I will use the word "discrimination" to talk about people who struggle finding games where they don't play versus stacking 1000 + people.
+ , it would make 1000 + a realy nice place, much more peaceful because people would have been practicing until they manage to win games
This would realy improve the experience for everyone !
wouldn't it ?
as above so below

Because it takes 5 seconds for a player with under 1k elo to create a new account, and automatically receive 1k elo. Pure waste of resources.

thats not the point hes making at all, the regular mega bot would not be 1000+ it would remain the same, but a bot specifically for ppl who WANT to play with >1k elo players (to improve or not be put up against stacked teams all the time)

how far out of the question would a non elo regulating bot be ?

like a practice bot or fun bot for all players, where there might be more enjoyment because the fear of losing elo is gone ?

idk.. just a suggestion

Man, I asked several low elo/new players today if they knew what the purpose of LTD was. Nobody knew it was a race to kill the opponents king.
I know it's just a waste of recourse but a bot for newbies would certainly help on the game experience for many. But I fear the selfishness and unwillingness to learn has a higher crowd which means nearly nobody of the new players would be interested aswell.

The purpose of the no-elo-restriction bot is to mix older, more experienced players with new, less experienced ones. That way, if the new players want to learn, and the old ones are willing to teach/offer advice, the process won't take nearly as long as it would take someone to learn the basics on his own.

Once they have enough experience/elo/confidence, they can move to the 1200+ bot, with higher competition and more skilled players.

Forcing people with lower elo out of the normal bot not only would look bad ( Hey, you. You are bad, you can't play here! ), but it would also delay their learning experience.

FalenGa said it very well.

The no-ELO bot would be worth of consideration, however I don't think community is big enough to such bot being active. It lacks any kind of motivational aspect to play or even try to win, better to just host such game yourself.
