[NEW RULE] No AS in 1v1 bot!

Just so that everyone is aware, a new rule has passed for the LTD 1v1 bot. Please reference the following:

Rules Page

Under LTD, the new rule reads as follows:
1vs1 (ENT35)
  • Do not use Mercenary.
  • Anti-Stuck can not be used unless creeps are actually stuck.

This decision was made based on 2 threads in the suggestion forum

I have enforced the rule by temporarily changing this to a sticky thread. This topic regarding the new rule will be the first thing LTD community members see as they enter the forum.

When cast on lvl 20 bosses (turtles) it causes them to stop attacking for 1 second. As we know, turtles tend to stick together during lvl 20, so one AS can stun all 3 of them. It can be exploited on other rounds too in order to get 1 precious second.
There is another exploit very few players know about. On lvl 30, player can make 1 cheap unit just below (or above depending on color) spawn point. 3 bosses will appear and immediately use their ability (shockwave) killing that unit while becoming stuck in place. Summons will just pass by bosses and continue walking towards player's units where they'll be easy targets. Player can antistuck 1 boss at the time and easily kill all of them separately.
There are possibly more exploits and I think AS should be forbidden on regular 4v4 games too.

Actually the turtle glitch is because of Crossing, So your saying we should get rid of crossing too? Because crossing was not intended for 3.41.

And level 30 AS abuse doesnt have an impact on the game, Sure it might make them stop for a second, But no one sends level 30.

Turtle glitch works when solo building too. It can even be used to stun (for very short time) turtles that leak to the king, giving the king more time to survive and eventually kill them.
As for lvl 30, placing cheap unit near spawn point will make bosses stuck in place permanently. They can only move if AS is cast on them.

I don't think this is what vAdeRk is referring to. He is talking about using AS on the turtles to make them pause for a brief second. This works on any creep spawn or sent unit. It is frequently a tactic used in the 4v4 bot and has a significant impact on a players ability to hold waves.

Is this really a common problem though? I mean; 1. No one really sends on lvl 30 and 2. If your value isn't good enough to hold lvl 30 (even with a send) then you are probably going to lose the game anyway (lvl 30 is by far the easiest boss lvl). I'm not convinced that this is a common exploit nor that it impacts the outcome of games. So I would not support trying to put a rule in place to stop this from happening.

Overall - I don't think that we should add more rules to the 4v4 bot at this time. It will likely get messy in my opinion. You can cross, double build, share auras, use mercenary, use AS, create artificial delays, etc. It's a pub bot for a reason.

We do have an in-house league (LIHL) where AS use is forbidden altogether. We also do not allow cross building, double building or aura swapping and players cannot switch to mercenary under any circumstance. You might want to check this out for yourself - LIHL Forum
