Strange ban, unban request

Postby clemigott » Tue Feb 20, 2018 11:05 pm

Your Warcraft III username:
clemigott
Realm/Gateway:
europe
Why are you banned:
it says "range ban cause of ban-dodging"
Why you should be unbanned:
actually i cant remember to get banned recently. i created some new accounts on US in order to get around some BNET issues. i couldnt join ENT-games, created new accounts and seemingly got IP-banned from all realms.
i would like to get proper facts concerning my ban, or better unban me pls :)

greetings
clemigott

@clemigott Judging by how your last game was from earlier this morning, I guess it's safe to assume that your IP rolled into an affected range.

@Unitil or some other mod should be able to assist you.

@clemigott

It appears that you're trying to use an IP which has NEVER been used on this account, that is different from the one which you played on today, and is also likely a VPN or otherwise public connection. Your account is not banned, the IP you randomly tried using is. Would you mind sharing what type of connection it is?

also,

Hello clemigott,

Looks like you were caught in a rangeban. To get this sorted out, I'd appreciate it if you would answer the questions below:

  • Provide a list of all your previous accounts you've used on ENT.
  • What games do you play on ENT?
  • When was the last time you played on ENT?

  • Please answer these questions in full. Thank you in advance.

First of all, i connected to Bnet-Europe on "clemigott" today and i can join ENT-games.
in my opinion there was some reset from my internet provider and my IP changed multiple times now.
im hoping the problem doesnt come up again - wether i'm not sure if u unbanned my IP, or it changed.
    thanks for your reply though.

    P.S.

"Would you mind sharing what type of connection it is?"

well, since my knowledge isnt overwhelming, i can try ;)
i'm just using my private connection, which is somewhere between 6k-16k DSL.
i am not using any VPN or something.

Provide a list of all your previous accounts you've used on ENT.

usually i play on "clemigott" i had some US-realm account called "clemigott" or "clemi" but no others.

What games do you play on ENT?

i play LegionTD mostly, some other maps might appear aswell.

When was the last time you played on ENT?

before my rangeban (maybe 1-2days ago) on ENT Legion TD mega.

Thank you very much @Karils for ur answer and information, i appreciate the work and afford you put into this community!
    regards

    @clemigott

I'm taking this to mean that you're able to play again, and I can process this appeal? If you aren't having problems anymore then there's no need to get further into this really.
