What's up with bots?

Hey ENT :)

I was just wondering what's wrong with the lihl bots?
There was already no reply to the topic about slow bots. Now they are just completely gone again. What is it? Can you at least comment if you know? If you can fix soon or no? WOul dbe nice to get some feedback...
I don't wanna blame anyone. I know you do all the work here in your spare time and I highly appreciate. I just would be nice to hear something from you guys. Knowing that you are aware and care etc :)

Hello Mister Jamo.

The channel bots are being screwed up by blizzard. Apparently they still void the cd keys of the bots every now and then which means they can't enter bnet until the Ent admins assign them new cd keys (which obviously costs time and money).

As far as I know the current plan is to go away from the WC3 ingame channel to the Discord channel. This means in the future games are (probably) started etc. via discord so we don't have to rely on blizzard not banning bots' cd keys.

Not sure what is the plan until then, maybe we are stuck with manual hosting for the time being.

i think manual hosting is not a big issue tbh till we have a new solution

Nice, that's the kind of info I would like to get from you guys :)
When you are not playing all day long, you just dont get all that stuff that is happening. And I think people appreciate communication with you.

So, what does it mean, manual host lihl games? How does it work?

Wasn't online for some days and just heard the news from hazardous yesterday :P
And your post was also around the patch time so I thought this would probably be the reason.

People with admin access can host LIHL games via whispers to ent27 and ent28 even when the chat bots are offline. These are LIHL mods and I think also some regular players (dweiler, ilocos_norte and few others).
