Creating my own Bot

Postby PatManx » Wed Aug 08, 2018 8:07 pm

Hello, before I start asking about it, if I'm in the wrong Thread please move please.
I wanted to create my own Bot. I guess the Admins are able to help me only.
Are you allowed to help me with it? Is it okay if I ask? If not, delete the Post and please leave a message on my E-Mail if possible :?:
Excuse my bad English
Have a good Day!

Are you attempting to set this up on your own computer/server?

Do note, if you're attempting to have a bot setup on our servers, we only accept map requests, and in-game admin is reserved for the ENT Staff.

To suggest a map, please use the following sub-forum:
https://entgaming.net/forum/viewforum.php?f=9

If you're attempting to setup a bot on your own computer/server you'll need a hosting bot software
  1. Ghost++ - https://github.com/uakfdotb/ghostpp/tree/master/
    • linux only, unless you can figure out windows requirements to compile the .exe for the recent version
    • Detailed guide is available at the link
  2. AuraBot - https://github.com/Josko/aura-bot
    • Less features than the Ghost++ bot
    • Built with speed/efficiency in mind
    • Detailed guide at the link

With the 1.30 patch, you'll need to extract the blizzard.j and common.j via a CASC storage viewer.
Spoiler!
First Download the following CASC Storage viewer:
http://www.zezula.net/download/cascview_en.zip

Code: Select all

1. Extract CASC storage viewer to desired location
2. Open desired x86 or x64 bit version of viewer
3. Click "Open Storage"
4. Navigate to the root folder of your Warcraft III installation, and click "Ok"
5. Expand <war3.mpq>
6. Click on <scripts>
7. Extract <blizzard.j> and <common.j>

Yeah, I'd like to have my own one ony my Computer.
I really like your Hosting Service, but as you said the in-game admin is reserved for ENT Staff.
It annoys me kinda.
Thanks for your help so far. If I need some more, I'll let you know here!

Can I ask what the in-game admin gives more than just being an owner?

Certain commands to check player's aliases, bans are applied on all games, can't think of much else atm. Nothing that would affect the average users, tho.

Anyway, processing.
