[ID] Maphack Ban, Please Remove

Postby Buliarous » Thu May 15, 2014 11:14 pm

Warcraft III username: Buliarous
Realm: @uswest
Situation: Banned for Maphack
Why you should be unbanned:

Although it is a legitimate ban, with good reason, I personally own the CD-key bound to the disc that was played to use the maphack. I just recently became aware of this ban when I went online and found out that I was banned from Island Defense. My friend who lives up in Kent uses this battle.net account as well and I have duly informed him that I do not wish for him to be using things like this against the rules any more. He has acknowledged this and I had been hoping to get this removed, as I am the owner of this account, you can check the IP address used to send this vs. the one used when the infraction mentioned occurred, they will be different I assure you.

Wait, so you allowed your "friend" to play on your account, and you only told him that you WISHED for him to not use things against the rules? Good job on coming straight (unless you're lying about your friend), but I can't fathom why you'd let a person use your account when bnet accounts are free... Along with that, if the ban is legitimate (which you even admitted it is), then you need to wait a few months before any mod will even consider removing it.

Hmm, I wasn't aware that you could stem multiple bnet accounts from one CD-key, but now that I think about it, it does make sense. I had never tried doing it since I had no real need to, I had simply let him use mine as it was the easiest option, haha.

You're telling me your 'friend' plays the exact same games as you do? And how is one not aware of the availability to create a new account, when the option is listed right there, each time when logging in the battle.net?

"Hmm", so "rin@uswest" is not your account?

Well, lol, I seem to be caught in an oversight. That is my girlfriend's usual screen name, it is not stemmed of my cd-key however. I had bought her one for her use. Proof of this lies in an ID game we had been playing a while back. I cannot state the exact date, since I do not remember it, but two battle.net accounts cannot be on battle.net at the same time if they share a cd-key. At least this is what I have have heard.

Being the one who introduced this game to him, it is only natural that he enjoy most of the same games that I do, being that those are the ones he is exposed to the most.

@aRt)y
Not very long, we played ID a little bit offline a couple weeks back and I let him have access right before the weekend of this occurence. I have let him know that he will not be playing on my account after this point and that I will possibly be making another bnet account for him.
