Why are you banned: "afked"
Why you should be unbanned:
The ban penalty for leaving a public game isn't 3 days. Why ban someone 3 days for being afk when the match started.....
Autoban isn't 3 days for 1 leave. This interpretation of the severity of afk in relation to rage quitting is absurd.
"afk" ban for 3 days

@eldryan
Hello eldryan, please link us the general rules and the game specific rules of the game(s) you got banned in, and highlight the specific rule(s) you believe you violated. You can find them on our wiki. That way, we can ensure another rule-violation by you, caused by not-knowing the rules, will not happen again. After linking us to the rules, we expect you to have read them. Cooperating with us will have a positive effect on your ban duration.
Also, will you be more careful in the future?

Re: "afk" ban for 3 days
"do not ruin the game on purpose" "Do not go away from keyboard for an excessive amount of time, especially without telling other players beforehand, and/or refuse to play the game in an attempt to ruin it. Neither are you allowed to grief by resetting the afk timer."
I went away before it started, and didn't come back before I was vked, hardly ruining the game as it hadn't started.

Then take a real look and find me the rule regarding AFKing. Then, copy paste the rule here.

You can argue that ruining a game in its early stage is ''less ruining'' than in its late stage, but nonetheless ruining for all the other players in the game.
Are we good, you're going to be more careful in the future?

It just seems strange, as I didn't leave and the ban is like 10 times longer than autoban which would be the same result. I always try to be careful, but in 1200 bot it doesn't fill fast, so alt-tab + miss-start is more difficult to avoid over hundreds of games - it might happen once. Is 3 day ban really appropriate? For one time?
Edit: I also believe I might have tried to leave in lobby, but the command didn't register while I didn't wait to see and quickly moved on to other things - and then I came back and the game result screen was on.

Well, as a moderator, I will simply say that we have ban lengths to respect, AFK is 3-5 days. So with 3 days, you received the minimum.
As a user, I would argue that AFKing vs leaving **in LTD** is no real difference. AFKing does have worse consequences in DotA for exemple, compared to leaving as you become a weight for your team.
I understand what you're saying, I play NWU myself, and do -rarely- find myself in the same situation as yours. Fortunately no one reported me yet haha.
It's just a matter of being careful. Anyway, I unbanned you already. Have fun.
