The amount of confusion is too much to bear

Postby kortalian » Sun Jan 05, 2014 9:36 am

Warcraft III username: Kortalian
Realm: USEast
Situation: Already "not banned" and one of ban reasons is inaccurate
Why you should be unbanned: Because I already posted an appeal pre-ban when i realized the situation, and a moderator said I would not be banned. Also one of the ban reasons is innacurate.

I was in a game with LolYou where a player I had never met tk'ed and fed me as titan. At the time, I didn't realize refusing to votekick a player that was breaking a rule was against the rules. [It's posted in general rules, not Island Defense rules, so I over looked it]. There is nothing in the rules about accepting feed from a player when I am the titan.

See ban request here: https://entgaming.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=22348&p=101896&hilit=kortalian#p101896

When I noticed that LolYou had placed a ban request, I scrutinized over the rules because I thought I hadn't broken a rule. When I did find out that I did, [not vote kicking], I decided to place an appeal. As I said, I made a mistake, I'm sorry, It won't happen again.

See ban appeal here: https://entgaming.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=22350

The verdict on my ban appeal was NOT BANNED. However, ~8 hours later, R.T.M.X. Banned me for 3.5 days, trumping my "not-banned" appeal already. He states "However, kortalian will be banned for 84 hours (3.5 days) for refusing to votekick for feed and TK." I would like to note I NEVER TK'd. Not once, never. Also, how can you TK when you are the titan? I performed no such action.
The only rule I broke was refusing to vote kick the rule breaking player. (this quote is at the bottom of the ban request I linked)

So why is R.T.M.X. Allowed to trump another moderator? I don't know the hierarchy of ENT, but I feel this is extremely unfair.

He never said that you were not going to be banned. When he processed the ban appeal, you weren't banned at the time.

"refusing to votekick for feed and TK" is one item. If I was banning you for TK, then there would be a comma separating the two, as well as being on your ban.

Stealing others' work and calling it your own doesn't make you a professional map maker.

okay, then i have a question for you.
Why does my case not warrant a ban appeal?
What makes me so special I don't get to appeal the ban, and why does my ban appeal [the one i posted pre-ban] hold no merrit?

You do get to appeal. Just, after you're banned.
