Perfect counter for Pl

best anti-pl is always spectre, dusa gets raped by pl diffusal images> her mana shield

her ult can toss those images. but i will say its hard to farm with dusa compared to a lot of other heros that could counter pl easier. OD i found to be the best as opi said. but you need vision. so dust wards or gem and your good. ive also raped with invoker.

lol how many people here actually played with decent or pro people ? ~_~ dusa cannot counter pl, a real PL player like the above said never engages in a fight but spams spells, and u never go vlads on pl either that's just dumb, a good pl player can rape any hero spamming spells nonstop, but spec is a perfect counter to chase n kill pl, dagger--->sees real pl, atk spec = dispersion/rad rapes pl and images, if alone desolate rips him apart play vs me ill show u how spec rapes pl (and spec only needs rad to be useful, whereas dusa needs a full 40min farm)

Ahh yes but then there's the issue of how fast a PL can get farmed. I think we can all agree that you gotta be super intentional about not letting Pl farm. He is just too easy to farm with. Heck I often neutral creep with just illusions and lane at the same time. I'd agree that a farmed spec could give pl a run for his money, but he's gotta get farmed first.. A decent PL and support could keep that from happening.

a farmed spec would beat a farmed pl with ease though, cause all spec needs is radiance and he can always kill pl easily. fully farmed spec would be more useful as his dispersion and images would rape ur allies before pl can rape his hence why it's more difficult to farmed with spec than pl, cause spec has low based damage compared to pl and no escape mechanisms until lvl6

Well, there's another counter to pl we are forgeting. I just had a game with ember, where i bought 2 battlefuries, buriza, mkb and mjollnir, and with just a sleight of fist i was destroying all illusions and killing a pushing pl that had really good farm ( HoT, diffusal, butterfly, manta, radiance). So ember has to make it on that list, an awesome hero really

Dang. Sounds like a pretty good counter. I'd also have to add morph to the list. A morph with ethereal blade can harass a pl like no other. This would obviously require some farming on morphs part, but is definitely possible. Or in the case of the game I played, all it takes is a noob teammate to feed and if that fed enemy targets you they can make it pretty hard to farm.

i used to play with a few pros on dotacash t2, and even got vouched for t3 and tried it once, in t2 i played with pros like universe, demon and mikey and learned from then so yes i believe they are pros? and all my game are em cause i dont feel like playing non-em games anymore, they take to much time when im tryin to get rank1

I'm a DotA 2 player who has played several high rated games. Sven is hands down the best counter for PL for both early, mid and late game with his AoE stun and AoE cleave, and the fact that diffusal doesn't work on Sven's BkB, and Sven can easily speed out of his nukes to try and drain his mana.

Other notable counters (in order):

- Shadow Fiend / Storm Spirit (Early ganks)
- Slardar
- Centaur Warrunner
- Medusa
- Dragon Knight
- Silencer (owns PL in lane)
- Outworld Devourer / Obsidian Destroyer

- Naix with Bfury / mjolnir / AC (intense attack speed and Lightning shield)

- Dark seer
- Tiny
- Enigma
- Axe
- Kunkka
- Phantom Assassin
- Bounty Hunter
- Death Prophet
- Kotl
- Sand King

Or, just always try to pick an aggressive lineup for pushing and/or crowd control and push to the end before PL gets farmed, or get silencer or a triple lane to prevent early farm altogether.

i never went out the topic, my point was that snsdyuri said spect counter pl cuz in em games a good spect can farm easy items that counter pl like radi, but in non em game pl outfarm spect really easy

i played nonem games with spec, u just gotta babysit him and have a team with him, i seen how the pros do it with spec, like the wl&spec combo to farm against the good old kotl&pl mid stuff
